In 2024, Oberon is introducing changes to its ICT programs for students. The Year 7-9 Compulsory iPad Program will undergo a transformation to align more closely with the Year 10-12 BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Program.
We have carefully selected a range of options that will best support your child’s learning. It’s important to note that the Year 7 -12 BYOD program remains entirely optional, and the devices recommended for this program are on display for your consideration.
These adjustments aim to provide enhanced opportunities for innovation and creativity while continuing to foster the excellent academic culture that has already been established at Oberon High School. We believe that these changes will better serve the educational needs of our students.
See below for what is on offer for our program.
Students can bring a device that they already own or purchase a new device to meet their needs.
Devices must have support for Windows 10 , MacOS 64bit and IOS 17 (iPad Air 3” or above) operating systems, proxies and enterprise wireless networks.
Note: This option may limit the scope of support that our school technicians can provide.
Oberon has partnered with JB HiFi Education Solutions to provide a professional and trusted range of devices for purchase. The options are shown below:
